Mesquite Senior Games (MSG) is getting ready for their two-day golf competitions and celebration.
There are four events scheduled and split between Nov. 9 and Nov. 10.
On Nov. 9, MSG will hold the “Long Drive” competition which will be held at the Mesquite Sports and Events Complex.
The range will be open for practice at 8 a.m.
Age divisions will be in five-year increments.
Competitors may hit up to one bucket of practice balls.
The competition will be two trials on the “Grid” hitting four balls each trial.
They will also be holding the “Closest to the Pin” competition on Nov. 9 at the Oasis Golf Club at 2 p.m.
The range will open for practice at 12:30 p.m.
Age divisions will be as stated above.
Distance from Tee box to flag for women and men over 79 years old will be 84 yards and 115 yards for men under 79.
On Nov. 10 they have scheduled an 18-hole putting tournament at the Sun City Putting Course and 9-hole tournament at Canyon Oasis Golf Club.
The awards presentation dinner will be held at the Oasis Golf Club on Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m.
The presentation dinner includes Emcee Jim Minor, Live Jazz Music by Dry Heat and comedy by TC Morgan.
All four events plus dinner and entertainment is $150 per person with an additional dinner cost of $30 per plate.
