The New Year usually begins with some pretty big advertisements’ on the television…especially during the Super Bowl, grabbing attention of consumers all over the world. Automobiles (dealerships) are ramping up this time of year, as the Auto Dealers prepare for new models to hit their floors prior to any Auto Shows, offering larger incentives on last year’s models. Also, during this particular week, (Presidents Day) sales are advertising mattresses and appliances; which most consumers are aware of. But let’s look for some ‘not so common’ discounts, as I’m curious since many of you now are probably doing some online shopping these days.
Since last year, there have been folks taking earlier retirements, as some have permanently lost their jobs, while others are seeking new careers. Regardless where you might be right now in life, everyone could stand to use a discount on anything these days. For those that have been hit hard financially and are receiving government benefits, such as EBT (food) card or on Medicaid (health), Amazon offers a 50% discount on their Prime Membership. Considering the way consumers now shop since the pandemic, this is a great deal.
Often times, we don’t think about that AAA card in our wallet, which offers many discounts, including shopping and entertainment. AARP is another one that seems to have more to offer in the way of discounts… better than previous years. In fact, there’s a current 2021 best list for seniors at … https://www.seniordiscounts.com/#groceries . I spent a lot of time reading (browsing) on this site, and discovered that the senior age varies, anywhere from 50 to 65, depending on the type of service or sale you’re seeking; I was pleasantly surprised. Then I found a list for everyone at … https://slickdeals.net/ . Slick deals is a community based site with merchants and consumers sharing great deals among each other, while researchers spend their time sifting through products and their history, in order to bring you a better shopping experience. You can also find them on several social media platforms. In the event you find yourself skeptical about online shopping, you can browse here https://www.dealnews.com/ as this site lets you know exactly where you can go to purchase the item ‘in-store’, or have it delivered. It’s a great alternative for those that want to see it before purchasing, or still leery about making the online plunge.
So far 2021 has had a few challenges, and well…we just need to remember that it’s a part of life, and all good things are worth waiting for. But if we can pick up a few good deals here & there…it can make life a bit easier, if even for a brief moment. So whatever it is you’re needing right now, take a minute to check out these sites because you’ll never know what you might find; sort of like treasure hunting. Be safe when surfing, and protect your identity by implementing security on your computer (tablet, phone…etc.).
Make it a Great Week!

Thank you Lesh! I’m burnt out when it comes to political news and drama. We need to try and get back on track for living life, the way it was meant to be.
