Beginning today, Apr. 5, eligibility for the COVID-19 virus vaccine is open to virtually everyone in the state who is over the age of 18. The Moderna vaccine, the one available in Mesquite, has not been approved for anyone under that age.
The website to schedule appointments online is https://health.mesquitenv.gov/home will open on Tuesday, Apr. 6 at 7:30 a.m. for appointments available on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Apr. 7, 8, and 9. Appointments will be scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day.
People can make appointments by phone or obtain one in person at City Hall by calling 702-346-8446 or visiting City Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday or Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. while appointments last.
Necessary forms people need to complete are included in the confirmation email that will be sent after successfully making an appointment.
For those receiving their second dose of the vaccine, they need to bring their ID card and the vaccine card they received the first time along with a new ‘Red Cap #2’ form that’s available here:

If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please do so by contacting 702-346-8446 (City Hall) – notify the person at City Hall of the patient’s name and current appointment date and time that the patient is requesting to cancel/reschedule. You will be called on the Monday following your cancellation request to reschedule your appointment.

The vaccination location is the Rising Star Field House graciously provided by the Eureka Casino. The Field House is located at 333 N. Sandhill Blvd behind the hotel.
There will be assistance available for the physically disabled to move from their vehicle into and out of the Rising Star Fieldhouse.
Have all forms completed before you arrive at the vaccination site. Do not wait until you arrive for your appointment to fill out the forms.
Bring your identification card.
Wear appropriate clothing that allows for easy access to your upper arm.
Vaccinations will be offered at no cost.

A health care professional will administer the vaccine. After receiving the vaccine, you will proceed to a waiting area for 15 – 30 minutes as a precautionary measure to monitor for any reactions to the vaccine. While adverse reactions are rare, this waiting period is required for everyone who receives the vaccine.
