White supremacy theory is being pushed through the news media as the problem in America. All that is wrong with our country is because of white people running things. In particular white men, yet for the most part they are the ones that set down the rules and the strategies that built what we have today.
Yes, many others helped but the main moving force was the white male. When the country was formed, many slaves were providing labor to the country. Unfortunately, that was the practice under England who ruled the country until independence. That practice continued until the civil war where slavery was abolished.
Many other people came to our country to provide the labor to forge the nation we know today. The Chinese who helped build the railroad across the country. The Irish who helped build police forces and the Mexicans who worked in the fields. And many others who worked hard, and long to build, build and build.
Because of the influx of people from all over, Americans have never developed a sense of class consciousness or class division. Most Americans believe in the American dream—the idea that they could transcend their origins through education, hard work, and good citizenship. Many, many tried it and found it worked.
The leftist elite, made up of some who are highly educated and many old communists and other extreme left leaning groups, do not believe that the American dream works. They wanted change so they pushed social and racial unrest in the 1960s. They substituted race for class and sought to create a revolutionary coalition based on racial and ethnic categories.
Fortunately, the early proponents of this revolutionary coalition in the U.S. lost out in the 1960s to the civil rights movement, which brought the promise of freedom and equality under the law. Americans preferred the idea of improving their country instead of overthrowing it.
Today the left has a new strategy called Critical race theory. Critical race theory is an academic discipline, formulated in the 1990s, built on the intellectual framework of identity-based Marxism. Recently it has been injected into government agencies, public school systems, teacher training programs, and corporate human resources departments in the form of diversity and inclusion training programs.
Critical race theorists have proposed suspending private property rights, seizing land and wealth and redistributing them along racial lines. Some have even proposed the creation of a federal Department of Anti-racism. This department would have the power to nullify, veto, or abolish any law at any level of government and curtail the speech of those who are deemed insufficiently “anti-racist.”
Many Americans have developed an acute fear of speaking up about those kinds of social and political issues, especially those involving race because they are immediately labeled a racist. We must have courage, courage to stand and speak the truth. Yes, white males have led our countries for many years but they have changed laws and attitudes. We have a great story to tell, the true story of America.
We can be honest about injustices in American history, but the progress we have made towards change has been amazing. History is rich with stories of achievements and sacrifices that have allowed so many to reach their goals. There is nothing better anywhere or people would be going there and not here.
We should be talking about excellence not re-distributing the wealth. Excellence is a common standard that challenges people of all backgrounds to achieve their potential. However, they do have to work for it and that is the rub. Many want what others have worked for, but do not have the time or skills to work for it. Plus the elite think they are smarter than the rest of the people and so they need to lead because people cannot be trusted to decide for themselves.
Truth and justice are on our side. But we must muster the courage to stand up and speak out. If we do, we win.

Well said.

Once again Mike Young has been right on. Why isn’t this issue related to the public by the main stream media? Propaganda is alive and well in America. It is a sad day indeed.

Thank you for your insightful comments.

The state of Florida just passed a law that says it is OK to deliberately run over anyone who is protesting in the streets. The law is meant to apply to BLM protests. Since lynchings have been done away with, now white guys in trucks can deal out justice with impunity. Heaven help us if Governor DeSantis becomes President. He will give immunity to anyone who runs over liberals who dare try to vote.

If your statements were true I would back you 100%, however your statements are completely false. Please stop with the hyperbole & post factually correct statements:
From the article: “The state won’t grant immunity to drivers who run over protesters blocking traffic, as originally proposed.”

Mr Young,
Once again you attempt to stir the pot with more of your illogical conspiracy theories. Frankly, you don’t know what you are talking about. And, you make yourself look foolish. I wrote a whole thesis on Critical Race Theory and Critical Legal Theory for one of my masters. You don’t have a clue. The theory has nothing to do with Marx or suspending private property rights, seizing land and wealth and redistributing them to non-whites. Hogwash. Oh, and Dept of Anti-Racism? Please. Lies and deceptions.
Critical Race Theory Is an academic study of how the social construction of race and institutionalized racism perpetuate a racial caste system that relegates people of color to the bottom tiers. It started from Critical Legal Theory which argued that the law was not objective or apolitical but should be objective, neutral, principled, and dissociated from social or political considerations. Simple as that, like medical research or rocket science, it’s a study of our society. Your comments show a deep, underlying racism on YOUR part. You would be a good KKK member. Cannot wait till your next weeks hate mail (aka letter to the editor).

Mr Bishop – Your educational credentials impress me, multiple Masters degrees, most of us only have one. Because of your education, you must have a lot more information then you could include in your short rebuttal because you left out the part about repatriation. Since whites men took advantage of all others, they need to pay everyone back. Disagreement with this Race theory becomes evidence of hidden believe in white supremacy and racism. Under the vail of Diversity training at the work place and in schools, things are said like “all whites are oppressors”. I wonder if they say those words to a Ben Carson or others who through hard work became successful. This theory is just changing Communism’s class redistribution, into race redistribution, same idea different tactics.
David Petrillo says
Repatriation? You probably meant reparations. Either way, you failed to rebut anything Mr Bishop presented.
John Darcy says
To answer the author’s opinion piece, yes, white supremacism is a problem in this country. To suggest otherwise suggests a lack of focus on current affairs…
People are welcome to their opinions; not to undocumented opinions masquerading as fact.
